MyFlix-client-side application

Based on an existing server-side code (REST API and database), MyFlix is a client-side application,built using React. It is a single-page, responsive app with routing. It has rich interactions, several interface views, and a polished user experience. The client-side developed in this Achievement will support the existing server-side (https://github.com/tinabhowal/movie_api) by facilitating user requests and rendering the response from the server-side via a number of different interface views.

Who is the app for? -The app is for movie enthusiasts who enjoy reading information about different movies.

Where is the app hosted?

• The app is hosted on Netlify (https://mymoviesflix.netlify.app/login).

Features: -Single page application. -Uses state routing to navigate between views and share URLs. -Gives users the option to filter movies using a “search” feature. -Uses Parcel as its build tool. -Written using the React library. -Uses Bootstrap as a UI library for styling and responsiveness. -Contains function components. -Uses React Redux for state management of few features (eg. filtering movies and adding favorite movies.)

Future developments: -Using React Redux for state management of features. -Polishing the design for a better user experience.
