Introduce a customizable progress report scheme with reasonable defaults, that reports information

  1. about tuning, including various phases, some results (eg diagonal of the matrix),
  2. time / sample, function calls / sample, at various intervals,
  3. current iteration in the sampling phase

Default could emit to the console, user would overwrite methods for it.

Use the @logmsg framework supported by Atom etc, allowing an id for each chain (which would require an extension of one composite type).
