• Store parent node/edge of each inhabitant
• Store subnode position of each inhabitant as a point relative to node center
• Store subedge position of each inhabitant as a function in the form p(t) = p0 + v (t - t0)
• Render inhabitants
• Skip inhabitants when zoom is sufficiently large
• Store inventory for each inhabitant
