one comment here-- i think it would be fitting to include this reference (https://doi.org/10.1534/genetics.118.301277) which highlights the ways in which the contributions of women to population genetics have been minimized through history

Yeah, I was thinking about this too. We probably want a slightly different sentence to fit it in though? It seems really very apt here to the points we're making and we should be explicit about it.
I think we can do a bit better, but I'm going to merge this much so others can propose changes. |
