Preliminary checklist

  • I have read the README
  • I have searched existing issues for my feature request. This is a new issue (NOT a duplicate) and is not related to another issue.
  • I have searched wont fix issues and this request is not among them
  • This is a feature request for the Cromite browser; not the website nor F-Droid nor anything else.

Is your feature request related to privacy?

Yes

Is there a patch available for this feature somewhere?

Not sure if it is available else ware.

Describe the solution you would like

I propose replacing AdBlock with uBlock Origin in Cromite. uBlock Origin is efficient, privacy-focused, and less detectable by websites. It’s lightweight and could improve Cromite’s performance. Looking forward to your thoughts.

Describe alternatives you have considered

While AdBlock is currently being used, other alternatives like Ghostery or Privacy Badger could also be considered. These tools also provide ad-blocking capabilities and are known for their privacy features. However, I believe uBlock Origin, with its efficiency and undetectability, could be the most beneficial for Cromite.
