+ls %%/(scot %da (add ~s5 tym), watch your shell be %dy-edit-busy for five seconds. Desired behavior: if you get a sole-edit while a project is building, background the ford task, with commands to control blocked jobs etc. (at the very least ctrl-c out of them)

Can't reproduce.

Ctrl-c does not do what you'd expect it to if you're blocked on a timer or http request, instead you get %dy-edit-busy and have to ask around chat to learn the backspace trick. Adequate documentation of the latter miiight suffice?

Agreed that we should just document using backspace.
