Connecting to node after reboot

  1. Problem: I cannot connect to my node after reboot (e.g. via SSH or Ping or via the web interface).

Answer: After you have installed HSMM-Pi on your machine and have then done a reboot, the machine will only be accessible by either connecting to your device directly on its ethernet port and poiting your browser to the following IP address: 172.27.2.1 (at port 8080) or via the mesh network itself. Do a network-map and get the IP address that you gave your machine prior to the reboot.

  2. Problem: I get message: "Warning!. There are no mesh links in range. It's a bit quiet around here.". I have two wireless nodes with the same SSID, same callsign and different Mesh node names (callsign-1 and callsign-2). Why do they not see each other? I have rebooted several times.

  3. Question: Anyone tried any other sort of mesh link(s) than wifi, such as gsm/gprs or dedicated vhf/uhf?

  4. Question: Installed HSMM-Pi (HSMM-Pi Version: 0.8.1) and trying to login but don't have the required Username/Password. The traditional pi Username/Password doesn't work! Please provide them.
