When opening the latest .deb from CI builds, v19.01.0.273 (x64) (linked in the readme), GDebi opens and then closes. When GDebi is already open, and from it I open the .deb, it freezes. On further inspection, it appears that lintian is hanging on it, and System Monitor reports it as "Zombie".

Ubuntu MATE 18.04.1
GDebi 0.9.5.7+nmu2

Looks very similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdebi/+bug/1760910

Does running gdebi as root or installing package with dpkg -i work?

Running GDebi as root doesn't work, it freezes as above.
On trying to install it using dpkg -i, I got the following error:

dpkg: error processing archive klogg-19.1.0-r273-Linux.deb (--install):
parsing file '/var/lib/dpkg/tmp.ci/control' near line 6 package 'klogg':
'Depends' field, syntax error after reference to package 'libqt5widgets5'
Errors were encountered while processing:
klogg-19.1.0-r273-Linux.deb

Oh, I see. Looks like a typo in Qt library package name.
