…on it had with changing default plot xaxis units to 'kHz'. Also went through and changed all default values for plot units to 'kHz' from 'cm'. This commit fixes Issues GH-8 and GH-3

Changed default settings to accomplish this. Also changed some of the 'kernel' code that goes into the database, but that's just for consistency as I did not update the db code itself.
