It looks like I'll need to change the initialize methods in the models to callbacks to better match rails conventions
change from initializers to callbacks switch from Optimist to OptionParser (removes gem dependency) move files to more railsy locations

Start tracking sync history in a database using ActiveRecord. Rails may be overkill, but it will bring in a lot of tools that can help standardize the app setup.
This will break existing automation since the app will be started via
rake task_bridge:syncinstead ofbin/task_bridge
