Something is whacky with the build process that's causing this.

Did we determine this was an issue with shells other than fish?

(FWIW, I've narrowed it down to where it seems this is only necessary if there are changed interface builder files. If no IB files have been changed, then a single compile suffices.)

I'm also wondering if our mid-term goal of switching to xcodebuild won't take care of this. We'll have to see when we have time to make that switch.

So, I actually haven't noticed this bug recently. When I was building vico today it worked the first time. :/

With any luck, I'm currently working on this as I XCode-ify the build process.

I've switched things to XCode now, and this should be entirely fixed. Let me know if you see otherwise; I'll keep the issue open for a few days just in case.
