v0.10.0-beta.1 — Search citations preview
Pre-release
Pre-release
Pre-release for testing structured web-search results and inline answer citations.
Changes
- Add opt-in search/citation contracts and automatic runtime capability negotiation.
- Carry model-authored URL citations, source identities and provenance through runner, daemon and SDK streams, completions and persisted UIMessage data.
- Use OpenAI citation-formatting markers with grouped sources and expose Responses-shaped
url_citationannotations with documented Unicode code-point ranges. - Export
@bunny-agent/sdk/contractsfor consumer validation and rendering. - Preserve references across resumed, compacted and forked Pi sessions, and fix Harness citation assignment for duplicate search results.
- Retain the official Pi resource loader and tool hooks, with shared citation instructions.
Merged change: #447. See the protocol documentation for capabilities and integration requirements.
This beta is intended for integration verification. Native provider annotations and document-search citations are not enabled by this release. The existing release workflows publish the npm packages and build the versioned Docker image.
Published artifacts and verification
- All seven npm packages were published at
0.10.0-beta.1. A clean registry installation verified the SDK and its/contractsexport. - Docker image:
vikadata/bunny-agent:0.10.0-beta.1(linux/amd64,linux/arm64). - Image index digest:
sha256:9151fd3fe4d28f999ccbb32b8967ae51dea66a1d3b1ab0bd72740879703d3a70. - The published amd64 image started with its default non-root user and reported citation protocol v1 support.
- The published SDK connected to that container and completed a real OpenAI GPT-4.1 mini / Tavily search. Five search results produced a valid inline URL citation. Checks passed for Unicode code-point ranges, marker removal and UIMessage serialization.
- The arm64 manifest was verified; arm64 runtime execution was not tested.
