There currently is no help message for this script. That really, really needs to change.

Don't forget to update the documentation once this flag is added.

There may be an existing Python library for generating a help message by parsing the available command line args. Check for that before rolling your own message.

Add some command line arg parsing

* --metadata
* --identifier
* file (repeatable)
* --help (got for free with argparse)

Also: updated the doc to reflect these new options.
