Support starting a container via vmfork. Some of the tasks below are aspirational and noted here simply because they will inform the approach to early starts

Target

  • Determine which hosts in cluster support vmfork
  • Ensure container fork parent on each target host (if existing ISO match not available)
    • Create fork parent if existing ISO match not available
    • Register parent per host with ISO checksum
    • Note interest in parent (add VCH MOID to parent extraConfig)
  • Handle add/remove of hosts from cluster
    • Add fork parent to incoming hosts
    • Remove fork parent from outgoing hosts
