See https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-apa/2023Jul/0011.html

There's concern from APA WG that DAPT looks like a typo and should be ADAPT, which could be confused with some other accessibility-related thing called ADAPT.

I propose to close this with no change. Adding to agenda to confirm.

The Timed Text Working Group just discussed APA WG feedback - name looks like a typo for ADAPT w3c/dapt#167.

The full IRC log of that discussion <nigel> Subtopic: APA WG feedback - name looks like a typo for ADAPT #167

<cpn> Nigel: This issue is APA WG feedback. They have an initiative called "ADAPT", where DAPT looks like a typo for that, also they pronounce it similarly
<cpn> ... It's not a substantive issue, we discussed with the APA WG chairs at TPAC, the sense of that was that they weren't too concerned
<cpn> ... So propose closing it with no change
<cpn> ... Any objections to doing nothing with this?
<cpn> (nothing)
<cpn> Nigel: OK, so the group agrees to closing with no change
