No minimum requirements for a processor to dereference a URI are defined; consequently, there can be no interoperable testing of image dereferencing.

smpte:backgroundImage is deprecated in favor of tt:image. Propose to close.

@skynavga was this issue intended for imsc1.1 or imsc1? If imsc1.1, I agree with @palemieux we do not need to take any action.

The Working Group just discussed Minimum URI schema support not defined. imsc#157, and agreed to the following resolutions:

  • RESOLUTION: WG agrees to close since no action appears to be necessary for IMSC1.1, which references TTML2 for this functionality.
