  • ash-nazg is the preferred way to create new repos
  • Template files in this repo become thus obsolete
  • s/gh-pages/master/g
  • Update resources (a screenshot); move it to proper subdirectory
  • GitHub recommends HTTPS over SSH+GIT protocol
  • Update hyperlinks to HTTPS where pertinent

FAQ and spec set-up instructions, simpler and shorter.

Clone the repository locally,
Once the new repository is created, find it on GitHub and set up
<a href="https://github.com/blog/2228-simpler-github-pages-publishing">GitHub Pages</a>
to use the default branch, <code>master</code> (<em>Settings</em> / <em>Options</em> / <em>GitHub Pages</em>).

Never mind, I see that's what is recommended in the blog post mentioned in the FAQ.
