Add various options to auto-manage/compact the app menu #2021

The following features should help keep the app menu tidy:

Auto close other expanded blocks when expanding a block using the more options chevron.
Hide additional menu items under a block when an expandable menu block is opened.

Both should be optional.

I am not sure whether these should be enabled by default. For sure they help things keep compact but might be frustrating to some users.
