LG 34WK95U will not change input source

Hello,

I try to switch between DP 1 and DP 2 on my LG 34WK95U from 2018 from my macBook Pro M1.

The monitor is recognized and I can change speaker volume or turn it off. Only Switch input source will not work.

Example:
BetterDisplay set --namelike=LG --ddcAlt=208 --vcp=inputSelectAlt
The display goes black and after 2 seconds it is on the some input.

Already tried hdmi and other methods available in the app.
command is ignored or show the some behavior.

An idea?

Hi there,

not sure about the LG 34WK95U. The codes (208 and so on) are more like recommendations and might vary by display. If the display responds at all, it is a good sign and probably means that the ddcAlt protocol should indeed be used. The latest v2.3.8 version has the ability to detect and list DDC capabilities via CLI and should normally be able to list the proper input codes if the firmware provides them but I don't think with these LG displays using the proprietary input changing mechanism this actually works so only blind luck and trying codes will be able to probably help.
