HiDPI mode limited at high refresh rate on M1 Pro + macOS Sequoia

Hi,

The latest couple of updates have introduced a problem with my display where when I select HiDPI mode the display then renders at 3424x1926. Any attempt to adjust this kicks it out of HiDPI mode and back to its native pixel resolution.

Which macOS version and Mac model are you using?

The reason I am asking is that Apple again tweaked M1 Pro limits in Sequoia. Now even SDR is limited at 120Hz, exactly at the resolution you mentioned. You can try lowering the refresh rate.

I'm running the Sequoia 15.0 beta on an M2 Pro Mac Mini.

I can confirm it works at 60fps so I think you're right that apple was the culprit here. How annoying.
