While hacking this controller to actually play music, I don't want to have to pick up the instrument every time (embodied-nature-of-music arguments notwithstanding). I should have the ability to:

• record events out to temp file(s)
• be able to play-back a file(s)
• repeat the events in the same order and in the relative timing they occurred
• modular enough to allow different algorithms for playback
