Windows 10?

Big up: https://github.com/welaika/wordmove/wiki/How-to-install-Wordmove-on-Windows-10-with-Bash thanks to @phidodido

We've noticed a number of issues in regard of the usage of Wordmove on Microsoft Windows. So we decided to write down this little disclaimer.

We don't use Windows

And we are totally ignorant about it

This means that Wordmove's developers can't help out with problems concerning the Windows' environment, rbenv/rvm setup, the loss of some unix command we take for granted.

This doesn't mean Wordmove can't work on Windows

Ruby and rubygems works great on Windows. Despite this it could be possible that some implementations and features wasn't designed with windows in mind. Wordmove's developers can't test the gem on Windows and so they can test only bugs reproducible on Mac/Linux OSs.

You can open issues anyway

We know some of Wordmove's users are Windows users and they actively contribute to Wordmove by helping out on Windows related issues and sending pull requests (and they deserve a beer in return). We've decided to label specifically all the Windows related issues in order to clarify when developers will be in helicopter dog mode and you have to hope in community help.

May the force be with you
