Right now, we have a Weld 3 profile to test weld-vertx againts Weld 3 and CDI 2.0.

There are two options:

  1. Remain CDI 1.2 and Weld 2.4 compatible but use Weld 3 by default
  2. Support only Weld 3 and make use of CDI 2.0 features

There is no specific need for CDI 2.0 features now - for now, we choose option 1.
