Repo for Jekyll based GitHub Pages site: https://willrc.co.uk

updates

  • 06/11/2023

    • changed my mind - the dev files are now in a separate repo, and just the site files live here.
  • 01/11/2023

    • created new branch to store static files
    • added new pre-push on local files to split _site folder to new branch
    • updated local pre-push script... again
  • 08/12/2022

    • merged wrctech branch with main
    • pushed site live on new domain - moved from willchurchill.co.uk to willrc.co.uk
  • 05/08/2022

    • (still on wrctech branch)
    • Updated all templating and styling in preparation for new site.
    • Switched back to image-based cards.
    • Added "question" to all articles, to aide with SEO.
    • Reduced importance of musings/blog and fiction writing to wider website.
  • 04/08/2022

    • New branch - wrctech - in preparation for switch to article-driven, portfolio-style website.
    • Removed "Interesting", "University" and merged "Letters" into "Musings".
    • Also anticipating move to new domain - exact domain tbc.
  • 21/03/2022

    • Transferred guides from Copy & Code site to this, meaning a slight rework in the styling.
    • Different style for Guides compared to rest of site, so new CSS file uploaded - still Skeleton based, but with different additions.
    • Increase Latest tab from one post to three.
    • Split everything back out into collections (musings, guides, letters, fiction, interesting)
    • Added a 'you might also enjoy' footer, based on tags
  • 10/03/2022

    • Got bored, redesigned the whole site. It's now entirely text-based, with minimal frills (one jQuery function and that's about it).
    • Also amended some of the older posts which where listed as "general musings" and switched them to "general".
  • 02/07/2021

    • Fixed issue where footer extended past viewport on mobile, causing content to extend beyond visible y axis
    • Added "see more" options to all sections of the homepage
    • Added landing pages for "External" and "Interesting" categories
  • 01/07/2021

    • Merged _external back into _posts, to simplify structure
    • Flattened 5in5 structure and merged with _posts. 5in5 posts are now all self-contained, rather than composite.
  • 23/06/2021

    • Moved site over to GitHub Pages. First commit.
