Same issue here winepak/winepak#13

I've installed notepad from the winepak repo, and it starts, but occasionally it gets BadValue X errors from XShmPutImage, particularly when halftiling or unmaximizing it (under gnome shell). This is using xwayland, but the X guys tell me that should be irrelevant.

Based on @matthiasclasen are you able to get the app to work sometimes or does it fail all the time? Can you post your system specs?

**Ditros:** Fedora 28/Ubuintu 18.04/etc
**Display Server:** Wayland/Xorg
**Shell:** GNOME Shell/KDE Plasma/etc

it fails all the time

Same problem here:

OpenSUSE Tumbleweed
X.Org 1.19.6
KDE Plasma 5.13.2
Intel Core-i7 4790k@4.6GHz
Nvidia Geforce GTX 780
Nvidia proprietary 390.67

Seems to happen if I launch it, open one of the menus, and then move the pointer left and right to open other menus. Maximizing and minimizing it a bit also seems to trigger it.
