D64 Fuse

A fuse module to mount Commodore 64 D64 image files.

Feature Overview

1. read-only access to volume contents (read-write operations are currently unavailable)
2. access rights and timestamps are based on the permissions associated with the image file
3. metadata support via xattr associated with the mount point and the individual files

Usage

d64-fuse --image=[D64 image] [mount point]

Installation

Note: d64-fuse can be built and used of GNU/Linux systems. It might also be adapted to WinFSP, the Fuse implementation for Windows, but I have not tried yet. Patches are welcome.

Requirements

• a recent version of gcc
• cmake (>= 3.28)
• the fuse3 development package (libfuse3-dev on Debian and derivatives)

Building steps

From the top source directory:

• mkdir build && cd build
• cmake ..
• make
• make install
