Hi,
what can be the cause for that?
I get the loading bar on tv but nothing happens. I tried with mp3 and mkv with --tomp4...

Do you have a firewall running?

No, it's a notebook with ubuntu 14.10, no firewall...
Is it possible to get more error/log message output?

no, I want to pimp the error messages in future...
Are you sure about the firewall? A guy in IRC had the exact same problem 2 days ago and it turned out to be the firewall.. thats why I'm asking ;)

Do other media sources load? Like:

castnow http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/gtv-videos-bucket/ED_1280.mp4

uh,

your link is working,
so it's a problem with the tomp4 option, I think...

I'll try to get ffmpeg working right...

Thx

I still think it's a firewall problem. If you start playback of a localfile then castnow starts a webserver. I think that webserver is not reachable from chromecast.

Hehe,

wasn't a firewall problem.

the "internal-ip" module returned not the ip of my wifi but the ip of the docker bridge interface...

I replaced it with "my-local-ip" and it works fine now...

Ah okay. I'll keep this issue open. Think we need some sort of --myip option.
