We should of course use Yeoman to build our site. Me wants some dog food.

We'll wait until Yeoman 1.0 is released.

I have code from my concepts on #34 based on yeoman as it is.

Want it put on a branch?

👍

I like the clean layout. Any ideas for the other pages? If so I'm available to port the rest of the site over.

No point in doing this until the site refresh is ready, but thanks for the offer @ericduran, will definitely ping you then.

Lol. The very first version of the site was built using Yeoman if memory serves right.

@tomlane if you're still interested in helping out with the site I'm sure we could find one or two things we still need a hand with :)

From #61: I'm biased, but I think the most up to date Yeoman/Jekyll generator is https://github.com/robwierzbowski/generator-jekyllrb. Yeoman and Jekyll 1.0+, optional Sass, Compass, Coffee, working Usemin build, all that good stuff. And of course suggestions welcome.

I'm going to take this on once #62 is done. Currently is a bit of a hassle to work on the yeoman.io site :-/

That being said I think we should just move the current site to yeoman 1st and keep the site as is. Then we could do the rewrite and ideally it'll be easier then.

@ericduran If I can help/contribute, let me know. generator-jekylrb is pretty much at feature parity with generator-webapp, and I've made some improvements to grunt-jekyll (although you should check out this docs PR for updated usage instructions).

And if you need a responsive image solution, may I suggest Jekyll Picture Tag.

This got lost in time, but we would love to have some help with switching to generator-jekyllrb and generally improve the site. See yeoman/yeoman#1245
