Zenith v0.2.2
Changelog — Zenith v0.2.2
Small fixes for desktop file access, Android launcher icons, and institution sign-in.
Desktop
- Show in folder: saved files now have a Show in folder action in the three-dot menu in a course and in Settings → Saved files. It reveals the file in Finder on macOS, selects it in Explorer on Windows, and opens the containing folder on Linux. Hidden on phones, which have no visible download folder.
Android
- Launcher icon no longer cropped: the adaptive icon now uses the mark alone, inside Android’s safe zone, on the pine-green background. Circular and squircle launchers no longer clip the artwork or show white corners.
- Foreground regenerated at every density.
Sign-in
- Fixed “Login callback failed verification”: Moodle signs the app callback with its configured
wwwroot, which can differ from the address typed (www, alias, redirect, subpath). The app now uses the site’s canonical address and verifies the callback against itswwwroot, while still accepting the typed address. - The pending sign-in is kept until a callback succeeds, so a stale callback no longer uses up the attempt.
- Callback links are parsed more tolerantly: percent-encoding,
+, trailing/,#, or?. - Site URLs now use the canonical
wwwroottoo, so files and HTML also load on sites reached through an alias.
Install
Download the installer for your platform from the assets below. Android users: install the signed APK.

Zenith v0.2.0
Zenith 0.2.0: now on Android
Zenith now runs on Android phones and tablets, in addition to Linux, Windows and macOS.
What's new
- Android app (Android 7.0 or newer). Browse your courses, read assignments, download files and sign in with your university's single sign-on, just like on the desktop.
- Phone layout: a bottom navigation bar on phones, the sidebar on tablets, and the Android back button works as you'd expect.
- Your login is stored securely using the Android Keystore.
- New app icon on Android, matching the desktop app.
- New download website with an Android download, a laptop and phone preview, and an easier-to-read layout.
Install on Android
- Download
Zenith_v0.2.0.apkbelow on your phone. - Open it. The first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser or file manager: allow it for this one install.
The app doesn't update itself on Android. To update, download the newer .apk and install it over the old one.
Other platforms
- Windows:
Zenith_0.2.0_x64-setup.exeor the.msi. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn you: choose More info, then Run anyway. - macOS: the
.dmg. The app isn't notarized yet; if macOS refuses to open it, right-click the app and choose Open. - Linux:
.AppImage(runchmod +xfirst),.debor.rpm.
Known limitations

- Android builds are for ARM devices only (nearly all phones and tablets), with no Play Store listing.
