ZMON's alert priority levels should match (and be influenced by) those of the paging / notification alert levels, but different paging solutions have different priority levels (P1–3 vs. P1–5). Ideally, ZMON would be flexible enough to adapt on this point.

This would enable alerts configured in ZMON to provide a default priority for paging solutions to reuse without the user needing to enter it an additional time (reducing human error from using the wrong syntax or not remembering to change it in both places).

Next steps:
Discovery on common number of priority levels
Discovery on anomalies between alert priority levels and paging priority levels
How does this change the UI in alert definition
Potentially more colors for additional alert levels?
