Minutes

Project updates:

  • The LT had a continuation of the ongoing discussion of project overhead rates.

Subproject updates:

  • Testing:

    • We have the first set of testing group members and will spin up the group. Other interested parties are still encouraged to apply.
  • Training:

    • The training subgroup now has a mailing list. The LT had a short discussion of the benefits of having an open vs a closed (ask-for-membership) mailing list. To allow the wider community to see progress, the list will be open to join and archived.
    • The training group will have a first public call soon, where the members can introduce themselves. Furthermore the group will discuss priorities, goals, and topics, and determine the topic interests of group members.
    • The subgroup will create and circulate notes after their meetings.

Zeek Week:

  • The work on Zeek Week 2021 is continuing. Currently ongoing activities include:
    • Getting the website and the registration platform ready.
    • Getting the talk submission system ready.
    • The speaker selection committee is set up.
    • The CFP will be posted soon.
  • We will need to create a few more alias email addresses on zeek.org (for registrations, etc).
  • In the next meeting the LT will discuss the budget as well as sponsorships.

Mission/Vision:

  • The LT is currently working on a Mission, Vision and Values statement for the Zeek project. During the meeting LT received some outside feedback and iterated over the Mission and Vision statements. The discussion will continue in the next meeting.
