SlideShare API change some tag names. #324

The SlideShare API have made changes in XML file and the service fail to show some values, like:

  • EmbedCode changed to Embed
  • Permalink changed to URL
  • Thumbnail changed to ThumbnailURL

I only see these changes but it's likely to have more.

Version 2.0 of the API has been released providing the following new features:

  • New methods for fetching user data: get_user_groups, get_user_contacts, get_user_tags
  • Revised output for existing methods to provide better consistency.
  • More reliable and higher quality search.

While version 1.0 of the API is still available, we strongly encourage developers to adopt the new API. All bug fixes and additional feature development will take place solely in the most current version of the API.

I have run the current unit tests with an account – Test result: Ok

The Slideshare API 2.0 won't be implemented for ZF1, so this once can be closed, right @froschdesign ?

Yes, I leave the API the same and change only the node names from the XML stream.

Okay, I reopen the issue and I will look for a (simple) solution to support the new node names.
