NVidia has renamed VK_NVX_device_generated_commands to VK_NV_device_generated_commands (with some associated changes), so only the latter version is exposed by volk, see top of https://developer.nvidia.com/blog/new-vulkan-device-generated-commands/

never mind. found it myself :) i have been using a very old version of vulkan.hpp
