The current CI pipeline significantly impacts productivity of the developer due to the following reasons:

  • The errors are intermittent during publish phase in CI. Example: https://github.com/zio/zio-config/actions/runs/4249959322 - the errors in this build never happened in previous builds.
  • The errors are not captured in publishLocal phase
  • The fix and fmts are not serving the purpose. It demotivates contributors, and checks should be avoided
  • The release documentations should be publicly available only if publish phase works
