DispMini 0.9.0 RC1
The first public build of DispMini: turn an older iMac into an external display for your Mac mini or MacBook.
This is a release candidate. It works well in daily use on our test machines, but it hasn't been tested widely yet.
Requirements
| Install on | Needs | |
|---|---|---|
| DispMini Sender | Mac mini or MacBook with Apple silicon | macOS 14 or later |
| DispMini Receiver | iMac from 2017 or later | macOS 13 or later |
Plus a Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB4 cable between the two Macs.
Installing
See the setup guide.
If macOS says it can't verify the developer, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. You only need to do this once for each app.
Good to know
- By default, the Sender connects on its own when the cable is plugged in. You can still connect over Wi-Fi by hand, or change this under Auto-connect in its settings.
- Update checks send app versions, macOS versions and Mac models. See the privacy policy.
