SmartyLint 1.3.0 improves analysis accuracy and uses SmartyAST 1.3.0.

Changes

  • Require SmartyAST 1.3.0 or later in the 1.x series, bringing corrected modifier chains, expression source positions, and parser diagnostics.
  • Count variables referenced in elseif conditions as used.
  • Infer types at each expression's use site, accounting for assignment order, branches, loops, shorthand assignments, captures, and modifier output types.
  • Preserve project configuration and follow transitive include and inheritance relationships during unused-variable analysis.
  • Invalidate caches when configuration, implementations, template contents, or include resolution changes.
  • Correct the version reported by the CLI and SARIF output.

Installation

Download smartylint.phar from the assets below, or install from source with Composer. PHP 8.4 or later is required.
