CMI-5 Runtime Changes

Section 10.0

  • Change to contextTemplate
  • add moveOn element to State API document created by the LMS

moveOn

Description: The launch method from the Course Structure. Used by the LMS when launching the AU (in a web-browser environment) to tell the AU whether it has redirected the existing web-browser window to the AU's URL or spawned a new browser window for the AU.

LMS Required: Yes

AU Required: No

LMS Usage: LMS must include a value from the course structure moveOn value for the AU.

AU Usage: AU may get the moveOn value from the LMS.LaunchData state document and may use the value to modify its behavior.

Data type: String

Value space: moveOn values as defined in CMI-5 Course Structure specification (7.1.4 AU Metadata)

Sample value: "Passed"

Group agreed that it was time to talk about defining a course ware package. Courseware Package

PENS (Package Exchange Notification Service)

Ben Clark proposed that the CMI-5 group update the AICC document for PENS to include a new package type for CMI-5. A new github repository will be added for this effort.
