PoopPal v1.1.0 - Paired Duo Edition (Android and iOS)

PoopPal v1.1.0 brings real-time paired friend synchronization, dedicated companion home screen widgets for Android, native iOS IPA builds for zero-fee sideloading via AltStore Classic, native Taptic Engine feedback, and elimination of launch authentication flicker.

What is New in v1.1.0:

  • iOS Sideloading Release (PoopPal.ipa): Standalone iOS binary with full iPhone notch / Dynamic Island support, native Taptic Engine haptics, and zero $99/year fee requirement.
  • AltStore Classic 1-Click Source: iPhone users can subscribe to updates directly inside AltStore.
  • Android Native Home Screen Widgets:
    • 4x2 Paired Friend Widget: Live companion widget displaying joint daily flush metrics, pixel mascot companion with partner crown, and 1-tap quick logging.
    • 2x2 Compact Duo Widget: Dedicated 2x2 widget with side-by-side counts and 1-tap logging.
  • Live Background Sync: Background flushes logged via the widget or notification tile synchronize automatically with the app and Firestore.
  • Eliminated Auth Flash: Added authentication gate and loading splash preventing sign-in screen flashes on app launch.

Installation Instructions

Android Installation (.apk):

  1. Download PoopPal.apk from the Assets section below.
  2. Open the file on your Android device.
  3. If prompted, enable Install unknown apps for this source.
  4. Tap Install (or Update if updating an existing version - your data is preserved).
  5. Add the 4x2 Duo or 2x2 Compact widget from your home screen widget menu.

iOS Installation (.ipa):

PoopPal can be installed on any iPhone running iOS 15.0 or later without an Apple Developer subscription ($99/yr) using AltStore Classic or Sideloadly.

Method 1: AltStore Classic 1-Tap Source (Recommended)
  1. Ensure AltStore Classic is installed on your iPhone (https://altstore.io).
  2. Tap the one-click source link on your iPhone:
    altstore://source?url=https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AK-Lmn/PoopPal/main/altstore.json
  3. Tap FREE or INSTALL next to PoopPal in the My Apps / Browse tab.
Method 2: Sideloadly (Windows / Mac)
  1. Download PoopPal.ipa from the Assets section below.
  2. Connect your iPhone to your computer via USB.
  3. Drag PoopPal.ipa into Sideloadly (https://sideloadly.io).
  4. Enter your free Apple ID and click Start.
Method 3: Direct AltStore Sideloading
  1. Download PoopPal.ipa on your iPhone.
  2. In AltStore, go to My Apps and tap the + icon in the top corner.
  3. Select PoopPal.ipa to sign and install.
