@Acelith Acelith released this 28 Oct 17:57

Chronexus 0.12.0 — Windows x64

This version adds the M31 clue board for player-authored questions, leads,
suspicions and rumours. A clue can cite a selected note block, link Codex pages,
and record how a question was resolved. Editing or resolving it does not alter
the source note or assert a factual relationship. Clues are searchable and
included in campaign backup, restore and readable export.

Sharing each clue requires an explicit choice. Its linked pages and source
sessions must be available to the same audience first. This needs a compatible
Chronexus Server with schema 007; the local board works without a server.

This package is for Windows x64 only. The NSIS installer has a production Tauri
updater signature and is available through the in-app updater with its required
backup. It has no Windows Authenticode signature, so SmartScreen may warn on first
launch. It contains no AI model weights. Windows ARM64, macOS and Linux packages
have not been built for this version.

Database schema 022 is additive. Existing campaigns, saved interface language,
notes, attachments and local AI choices are preserved. Installation and upgrade
of this exact installer are reported in the release evidence separately from
compilation and signature checks.

@Acelith Acelith released this 27 Oct 17:30

Chronexus 0.11.0 — Windows x64

This Windows release adds an explicit choice of where a campaign's assistant runs:
on this computer (the existing default) or on its sharing server. The server is
contacted for AI only when you check its available models or ask a question. The
server must have a compatible AI service and a qualified model installed; selecting
this option does not install or activate one. Failed requests explain the problem
and offer an explicit return to local AI. Campaign data is never sent to the server
AI by merely opening the app or choosing a setting.

The release also includes the updated German, French and Spanish interface text,
and a test that checks ordinary app startup does not open a server connection.
The app continues to use the GitHub update channel introduced in 0.10.1.

This package is for Windows x64 only. The NSIS installer has a production Tauri
updater signature and is available through the in-app updater with its required
backup. It has no Windows Authenticode signature, so SmartScreen may warn on first
launch. It contains no AI model weights. The 0.10.1 macOS and Linux pre-release
packages remain available; this release does not claim a build for those systems
or Windows ARM64.

The database remains at schema 021. Existing campaign settings default to the
local assistant. Server AI requires a compatible Chronexus Server deployment;
model quality and a live question against a server with real weights are not yet
verified. Installation and upgrade checks for this exact installer are reported
in the release evidence separately from compilation and signature checks.

@Acelith Acelith released this 27 Oct 14:27

Chronexus 0.10.1 — rebuilt from the GitHub source (pre-release)

Replaces the 0.10.0 pre-release. The application is the same as 0.10.0, rebuilt from the
current source now hosted on GitHub, plus the hosting move:

  • Updates and links now point to GitHub. The in-app update check reads
    github.com/Acelith/Chronexus (with strict checks on GitHub's download redirects); the
    previous default channel is migrated automatically. Signed-update verification and the
    mandatory backup before installing are unchanged.
  • All interface texts for the update channel are translated in the ten languages.

This is a pre-release without signatures: no Authenticode, no Apple Developer ID and no
updater signature, so it is not offered by the in-app updater: download it here. Every
file is listed with its SHA-256 in SHA256SUMS.txt.

System File Tested
macOS Apple Silicon Chronexus_0.10.1_aarch64.dmg Installed from the DMG and started (valid ad-hoc signature)
macOS Intel Chronexus_0.10.1_x64.dmg Built; not started (no Intel Mac available)
Linux ARM64 Chronexus_0.10.1_arm64.deb, Chronexus_0.10.1_aarch64.AppImage .deb installed and started on Debian 12 and Ubuntu 24.04; AppImage started on Debian 12
Linux x64 Chronexus_0.10.1_amd64.deb Installed and started on Ubuntu 24.04 (emulated)
Windows x64 Chronexus_0.10.1_x64-setup.exe Built; not run (no Windows machine available)

Not available: Windows ARM64 (the cross-build fails in a cryptography library) and the
Linux x64 AppImage (needs a native x64 build host).

First launch of an unsigned app

  • Windows: SmartScreen → More info → Run anyway.
  • macOS: right-click the app → Open → Open (ad-hoc signed, not notarized).
  • Linux: install the .deb with your package manager, or make the AppImage executable.

Also in this line (from 0.10.0): campaign members (list, change role, remove, leave),
the role refreshed at every synchronization, a reader's unsent changes shown as waiting, a
valid macOS ad-hoc signature and a readable campaign picker on Linux.

Works with Chronexus Server 0.1.0 and 0.1.1. No schema change (021); existing archives
open as before.

Built from tag v0.10.1 in a clean worktree: Linux and Windows in the project's build containers, macOS natively. No executable contains the previous hosting address (checked inside every package).

Chronexus 0.9.2

@Acelith Acelith released this 27 Oct 12:52

Chronexus 0.9.2 — A Chronexus-branded Windows installer

The Windows installer now carries the user-selected Chronexus artwork: the herald
and wordmark on welcome/finish pages, a compact wordmark on the wizard headers,
and the Chronexus icon for installer and uninstaller. The sidebar uses the app's
leather, brass and burgundy palette. Labels and controls remain native, readable
text; the standard installation, upgrade and cancellation flows are preserved.
The passive in-app updater may omit wizard pages as before.

Includes the 0.9.1 fixes for existing-archive backup verification and startup update
checks. Existing archives migrate automatically to schema 021. If an older installed
updater is blocked by the backup error, preserve a verified backup, close Chronexus
and run this installer manually. No new schema, app identifier or signing key.

Windows x64 app only, with the production updater signature, without AI weights or
Windows Authenticode signing. Other platforms/architectures and actual installation
or upgrade remain unverified. Published older installers are not replaced.

Verified on Windows x64: signed NSIS and frontend build, production package signature
and tamper rejection, all 27 release-tool tests, correct bitmap dimensions/format,
and the actual welcome/directory wizard pages with native accessible headings and
controls. The wizard was cancelled before installation. Source artwork unchanged.

Repository migration: GitHub is now the canonical source. The existing binaries and signatures were not rebuilt; their build source identifiers predate the authorized history rewrite. The updater manifest now points to the same verified installer on GitHub.
