What's Changed

Install safe-chain system as standalone executable

Packages safe-chain as standalone executables, now it can be installed outside of npm. This will:

  • Remove the dependency on Node
  • Work with older node versions
  • Prevent safe-chain from becoming unaccessible when switching node versions

Other changes

  • For config-related commands, don't inject custom config, to allow persistent config/cache access
  • Update node-forge, npm-registry-fetch and make-fetch-happen
  • Improve logs for MITM handler
  • Add banner for safe-chain
  • Add NPM version and downloads badges
