• quarantine_fetch downloads a URL into ~/.aither/quarantine/<stamp>/ under a size cap, never executes or unpacks it, stamps the Windows Mark-of-the-Web and scans it with Microsoft Defender or ClamAV. It reports clean / threat / error / unscanned — a host with no scanner is never reported as clean. Measured live: a real Python zip came back clean and the EICAR test file came back threat.
• The awdelegate compatibility shim now ships in the public repo, so the test suite that gates publishing passes there.
