This release brings together the fixes since the r26d download.

Fixed

• K1–K3 no longer stall short of their end stops in Scaled mode (issue #2).
  Native input-thread delivery and the original takeover calculation are retained.
  The author confirmed this fix on an MPC Sample.
• Startup restore waits until native project/sample error dialogs close before
  opening the selected XPJ. Other reported project/Mod Off errors remain under investigation.
• OptoCat rebinds after New Project. Old callbacks/destructors cannot disconnect
  a replacement master. Bypass is shared with Duck; opening Shift+Pad5 shows the
  enabled type, or bypassed Duck when both are off. Browsing Type does not wake it.
• EQ no longer covers the native volume/pan strips beside the spectrum.
• Assigned pad hues remain in Duck/OptoCat, Sample playback and workflow views:
  ordinary Copy, sample browsing/search, Batch Copy/Extract, Stereo→Mono and
  resampling. Selected targets retain white cues and overwrite warnings remain red.
  Copy/Extract transfer source colours, including Undo/Redo and failure rollback.
• Muted instruments no longer flash playback colours outside the Mute overlay.
  The reported missing muted waveform and first-pass Chop light are separate open cases.

Added and refined

• OptoCat, an experimental optical-style compressor beside native Duck.
  K1 Threshold −48…0 dB, K2 Ratio 1…8:1, K3 Gain −6…+6 dB, default Gain0.
  Shift+K1 Attack 1…100 ms, Shift+K2 Release 100…4000 ms, Shift+K3 Knee 0…12 dB.
• B1 Warm adds compensated mild saturation, default off. B2 Type chooses the
  algorithm; B3 Bypass switches processing off/on. Maximum makeup Gain remains +6 dB.
• The bow represents dry input; the paw follows the same actual GR snapshot
  as the red meter. Sustained compression holds contact; recovery returns the paw.
  Gain/Warm or loud input alone cannot trigger a strike. Sleep has an empty meter,
  black background and native Bypass underline. Shift badges show alternate controls.
• Seq pads keep their assigned hue and background glow: selected once per bar at
  Stop, playing once per beat, queued twice per beat until handoff. Other occupied
  pads retain the same brightness when Play starts.
• While holding Sound in Steps, the selected pad alternates white and its
  assigned hue, so the cursor no longer permanently hides its colour.
• Experimental FAT32/MS-DOS (FAT32) startup, alongside exFAT, with installer
  1.0.2. Use this complete package; old r26d packages still require exFAT.
  No reformatting is needed for an existing FAT32 card. Keep projects and samples.
  Use an ASCII card volume name, such as MPC; FAT32 limits individual files to
  4 GiB minus 1 byte. Physical FAT32 validation remains pending.

Checks and remaining limits

ARM/QEMU normal and UBSan checks cover the real pinned native Colour factory and
process callbacks, DSP/gain/Warm, master replacement, project restore, Copy/Extract,
RGB ownership, EQ geometry and the stock resample adapter. All 50 preload callbacks
install before native main. Full native VM runs previously covered startup modal
ordering and project-copy fixtures; they are not a full combined r26s hardware test.
Installer tests: 16 passed, one macOS-only test skipped on Windows.

OptoCat Type/settings/Warm remain session-only. Native Bypass follows project state.
Startup picks the newest saved XPJ in SD Projects or one level below, rather than
the last manually opened project. Exact user project-error scenarios, ordinary
Copy navigation, muted waveform, first-pass Chop and the newest visual changes
need their remaining physical checks. See known issues.

Thanks to Leusha for extensive testing, detailed reports and artwork ideas,
and to everyone who helped reproduce the filesystem and knob problems.

Релиз объединяет исправления после опубликованного архива r26d.

Исправлено

• K1–K3 больше не застревают у крайних положений в Scaled (#2). Сохранены
  штатный поток ввода и исходная формула takeover. Автор подтвердил исправление на MPC.
• Автозагрузка ждёт закрытия штатных окон ошибок проекта/сэмплов перед открытием XPJ.
  Остальные сообщения об ошибках проектов и Mod Off ещё расследуются.
• OptoCat повторно привязывается после New Project; старый экземпляр не отключает
  новый мастер. Bypass общий с Duck. Shift+Pad5 открывает работающий тип, а если
  оба выключены — спящую утку. Смена Type при Bypass не включает обработку.
• В EQ сохранены штатные шкалы громкости и панорамы по краям спектра.
• Назначенные цвета видны в Duck/OptoCat, при playback и во временных экранах:
  обычный Copy, выбор/поиск сэмпла, Batch Copy/Extract, Stereo→Mono и Resample.
  Белые обозначения цели и красные предупреждения о перезаписи сохранены.
  Copy/Extract наследуют цвет источника с Undo/Redo и откатом при ошибке.
• Заглушённые инструменты больше не мигают цветом playback после выхода из Mute.
  Отсутствие waveform при Mute и подсветка первого Chop остаются отдельными случаями.

Добавлено и уточнено

• OptoCat — экспериментальный оптический компрессор рядом со штатным Duck.
  K1 Threshold −48…0 dB, K2 Ratio 1…8:1, K3 Gain −6…+6 dB, начальное значение 0.

  сами по себе удар не запускают. Во сне шкалы пустые, фон чёрный; Bypass подчёркнут.
  Значки Shift показывают альтернативные параметры.
• Пэды Seq сохраняют цвет и фоновое свечение: выбранный при Stop — раз в такт,
  играющий — по долям, очередь — вдвое чаще до переключения. Остальные занятые
  пэды не тускнеют при Play.
• При удержании Sound в Steps белый курсор чередуется с назначенным цветом пэда.
• FAT32/MS-DOS (FAT32) доступен экспериментально наряду с exFAT; установщик
  обновлён до 1.0.2. Нужен полный актуальный пакет, старые r26d требуют exFAT.
  Существующую FAT32-карту переформатировать не требуется; проекты и сэмплы остаются.
  Имя тома — ASCII, например MPC. Максимальный отдельный файл FAT32 — 4 GiB минус
  1 байт. Аппаратное подтверждение FAT32 ещё ожидается.

Проверки и ограничения

ARM/QEMU normal и UBSan проверяют реальную фабрику/обработку Colour, DSP/Gain/Warm,
смену мастера, автозагрузку, Copy/Extract, палитры, геометрию EQ и штатный адаптер
ресэмплинга. Все 50 callbacks устанавливаются до native main. Ранее в полной VM
проверены ожидание стартовых диалогов и тестовые копии проектов; это не полная
аппаратная проверка объединённой r26s. Установщик: 16 тестов прошли, один тест
для macOS пропущен в Windows.

Type, параметры OptoCat и Warm пока живут только в сессии; штатный Bypass следует
состоянию проекта. Автозагрузка выбирает самый свежий сохранённый XPJ в Projects
или на один уровень ниже, а не последний открытый вручную. Точные пользовательские
сценарии ошибок проектов, навигация обычного Copy, waveform при Mute, первый Chop
и новые визуальные изменения требуют оставшихся проверок на MPC.

AM Mod r26d

AM Mod r26d fixes startup project mixing, keeps assigned pad colours during playback and adds a spectrum to all B3 pages while preserving native filter/envelope curves.

The author approved r26d for the repository on 1 November 2026 after the device trial. Verification scopes are listed below.

Fixed

• Filter/envelope curves disappearing: fixed the r26c graph-clear regression. Only the waveform is suppressed; native curves remain visible.
• Spectrum after silence: capture stays active while a spectrum page is open, so the next note is still shown after an idle period.
• Mixed projects after startup: automatic restoration now loads the complete saved project. Previously, sounds from project B could appear alongside sequences from project A, or with no sequences after starting from an empty project. Project search now uses the same full-project loading behaviour.
• Pad Colour focus: the encoder focus follows the colour control and hands back to the native controls when changing parameters or holding Shift.
• Blue playback flashes: Sample pads retain their assigned colours when their sequence events play, including pads in other banks.
• Green looked like Cyan: Green now uses a distinct green hue without a blue component. Existing colour assignments keep their IDs.
• Button LED interference: button LED messages no longer cause unrelated pad RGB updates in Steps.

Added and changed

• Pad Colour on K2 without Shift: Sample → B1 → Mix. K1 remains Volume; Shift+K2 is Kit Volume. Encoder presses cycle through Volume → Pad Colour → Pan.
• Spectrum across B3: the selected pad's spectrum is available on Filter, Filter Env and EQ.
• Spectrum with native curves: Filter and Filter Env suppress only waveform rasterisation. Native filter and envelope curves, headers and parameter knobs remain available, with a dim spectrum underneath. This fixes the curves disappearing in r26c. EQ keeps its response curve and spectrum.

Verification

• ARM/QEMU checks and UBSan passed for project loading, pad colours, focus, spectrum drawing and EQ.
• Full emulator testing restored project B's three note events, sequence, tempo and mixer/track volumes over an empty startup project. Playback RGB retained the assigned colour at changing brightness.
• The author confirmed pad colours on a real MPC and approved r26d after the device trial. In the full emulator, the waveform is absent on Filter/Filter Env, native curves remain visible, and Trim retains its waveform.

Startup still chooses the newest saved XPJ in the SD Projects folder or one directory level below it. Compatibility remains MPC Sample firmware 1.3.0.12 and an exFAT SD card; FAT32 support is not included.

Installation

Use MPC-Sample-Mod-Installer.exe with am-mod-r26d.zip, or copy the ZIP’s autorun folder to the SD root. Firmware: 1.3.0.12, card: exFAT, volume name: ASCII without spaces. Keep existing samples and projects; formatting is not required for an already compatible card.

The mod payload is byte-for-byte identical to the author-approved SD test build; the public ZIP adds the current English/Russian documentation. Checksums and verification details are attached.

AM Mod r26a

Important

SD installation: the current r26a mod requires exFAT. FAT32 / MS-DOS (FAT32) will not start the mod. Use a volume name such as MPC or MPCSAMPLE; only ASCII letters, digits, ., _ and -, without spaces. Back up the whole card before any reformatting; a compatible exFAT card can keep its projects and samples.

Installer update — 1 November 2026: MPC-Sample-Mod-Installer.exe is now 1.0.1, built from commit 9deb8d9. It checks exFAT and the volume name before writing, including actual filesystem detection on macOS. Unit tests passed on Windows/macOS/Linux; see installer-verification-1.0.1.json. The mod ZIP and its payload are unchanged; this update does not add FAT32 support. Installation guide.

AM Mod r26a — 1 November 2026

Changes since public r25x:

• Pad Colour in Sample/Events and ordinary Steps events; native FX Select colours retained.
• Steps: one cursor, consistent screen frame/numbering, encoder toggles the frame too.
• Empty steps off; other sounds very dim white, default On and switchable with Shift+K3.
• Events: red B3 Erase deletes one row; Erase+pad retains native confirmation for the whole sound in the sequence.

The white background can occupy every pad of a page when other sounds have events on every step. Own events keep Pad Colour; selection/playback/Mute/Erase have priority.

Firmware: MPC Sample 1.3.0.12 only. Copy autorun/ to the SD root or use the installer. Save work to External. Mod Off returns the stock application; wait for it before Eject.

Published at the author's request after device trials. ARM/QEMU normal/UBSan tests, real native LED conversion, both LED senders, production screen drawing, event controls and preload construction passed. Automated fixtures capture some native UI/audio receivers and do not establish a full hardware test matrix.

The public ZIP carries the exact same autorun payload as the r26a candidate installed on the author's card; only documentation is refreshed. No firmware, samples, projects or device logs are distributed. See verification, English guide and Russian guide.

• Pad Colour применяется в Sample, Events и к событиям выбранного звука в Steps; FX Select сохраняет штатные цвета.
• Рамка, заливка и номера шагов согласованы с физическими пэдами. Клик энкодера скрывает/показывает курсор вместе с рамкой.
• Пустые шаги погашены; другие звуки отмечены очень слабым белым фоном. Shift+K3 переключает Other Sounds. Если другие звуки есть на каждом шаге, фон может занимать всю страницу.
• В Events красная B3 Erase удаляет выбранную строку. Erase+пэд сохраняет штатное удаление событий звука с подтверждением.

В README и FEATURES добавлены соответствующие пометки на русском и английском. Пакет содержит те же файлы мода, что и r26a на карте; обновлена только документация. Автоматические проверки и проверки на приборе имеют разные области охвата.

AM Mod r25x

Public release based on the r25w functionality confirmed by the project author on an MPC Sample. r25x removes temporary diagnostics and updates documentation; feature behaviour is unchanged.

• Pad Colour: Sample → B1 Mix → Shift+K1, 13 colours including Stock, saved per pad.
• Project/folder Erase with confirmation and companion-data cleanup.
• One Mod-Exit-Last project copy; newest SD project opened at startup.
• Correct Internal/External labels; Monochrome / Piano / Scale Lights.
• Framed Shift badges, Zoom: Loop lock alignment and pad text-entry fixes.

Install

MPC Sample 1.3.0.12 only. Copy autorun/ from am-mod-r25x.zip to the SD root, or use MPC-Sample-Mod-Installer.exe. Existing samples/projects are preserved. Save your work to External. Exit through Project → Mod Off and wait for the stock interface before Eject.

Checks

ARM build with warnings as errors, full preload constructor including the stripped distribution library, Chords/Poly and project-exit fixtures, music persistence, phone cursor and workflow checks under ARM/QEMU, normal and UBSan variants; four installer unit tests and installation of the actual package on a test card folder. Hardware reports and automated fixture coverage are separate; these checks do not cover every device configuration.

Основа — проверенная на устройстве r25w. В r25x убраны временные сообщения журнала, обновлены README, FEATURES и CHANGELOG. В текущих публичных исходниках и пакете проверены личные пути, известные имена проектов, идентификаторы карт и ключи доступа; отладочные пути удалены из библиотеки. История Git не переписывалась.

Функции и управление. Настройка режимов USB-зарядки пока не реализована.
