RELEASE-MANIFEST.json and SHA256SUMS.txt bind the exact packages. Source: commit 5ca1a0a9e0bbb2139b96b6b89b4a7bdbb07ce221.
Setup: extract the ZIP for your system into a writable folder, start Galerians (.exe on Windows), select your disc images and BIOS in the wizard, choose Generate & rebuild. Windows downloads the portable build tools; Linux and macOS need CMake, Ninja, Python 3, and a C/C++ compiler on PATH. Setup starts with Disc 1; later discs are selected when the game asks.
Verified on this exact Windows package: clean-extract setup, generation, compilation of the normal and diagnostic builds, marker toggle, headless start (1867 guest frames), diagnostics collector. All four packages passed the archive, payload, and native generator checks in CI. Not verified: gameplay on these packages, native Linux/macOS setup and gameplay; macOS builds are ad-hoc signed, not notarized. Play testing of the private builds this kit derives from is recorded in the README's Status section, with the known issues.
Diagnostic mode: create an empty diagnostic-mode.txt next to Galerians (or run Galerians --diagnostic), reproduce the problem, then run Galerians --collect-diagnostics and attach the resulting diagnostics-<date>.zip to a GitHub issue here.
Framework: psxrecomp (pinned fork commit in the psxrecomp submodule); launcher: recomp-ui (pinned in recomp-ui). Developed with AI assistance; Alex tests the game and makes release decisions. The original game and its trademarks belong to their respective owners.
