Back and Forward, like Preview. ⌘[ goes back to where you were and
⌘] forward again (Ctrl+[ / Ctrl+] on Windows and Linux) — across boards
and PDFs alike. A visit is a part or pin you clicked, a PDF lookup in
either direction, or a search and the result you picked from it. The
view comes back exactly as you left it, not re-fitted. Going back and
then somewhere new deletes nothing: the path you left is still there.
The board ribbon has ‹ › buttons for touch screens; hold one for a list
of where it leads.
A History tab in the sidebar lists every visit, newest first, grouped
by file. Click a row to go there. Filter by kind — clicks, PDF lookups,
searches, viewpoints — and by boards, PDFs or just the board in front of
you. A row for a file you closed reopens it from the library. The
history survives a reload.
Viewpoints (off by default). Switch the Viewpoints filter on and the
places you looked at with nothing selected are kept too: a region of the
board, a PDF page, another board tab. Only a place you stayed on for two
seconds counts, so paging through a document leaves one row.
Search history. The PDF find field and the board search field show
your recent searches when you click into them; typing narrows the list,
↑↓ and Enter pick one.

A single search hit is found again. With only one hit, pressing
Enter or ⌘F after panning away did not bring it back, and a drag that
was still gliding pulled every jump off its target.
