Altinity MCP Server v1.7.1
Release Notes
v1.7.1
This release fixes JWE issuance, request credential isolation, and OpenAPI safety issues.
UPGRADE NOTES
- Regenerate JWE tokens that relied on server connection defaults: tokens must carry nonblank host and username claims. Empty passwords remain valid. Token TLS file paths require
server.jwe.tls_material_dir. /jwe-token-generatoris disabled by default. Enable it explicitly and configure an admin bearer secret of at least 32 bytes for administrative issuance.- Authenticated
/openapischema imports now require a credential. JWE-only REST actions use/{token}/openapi/...; the tokenized schema route is also available. SSE clients must reconnect after credential or effective configuration changes.
FEATURES
- add opt-in Prometheus metrics on HTTP/SSE transports, disabled by default (
server.metrics.enabled,--metrics-enabled,MCP_METRICS_ENABLED) (PR #168) - add
clickhouse.connect_hostto select the TCP dial host independently of the logical endpoint, including IPv6 and proxy precedence fixes (PR #160)
BUG FIXES
- security: disable
/jwe-token-generatorby default and require an admin bearer secret of at least 32 bytes when enabled; bound complete request bodies to 64 KiB, limit token lifetime, validate TLS file claims, and log issuance without secrets (fixes #180). Existing endpoint users must explicitly enableserver.jwe.token_generator.enabledand configure the admin token. - security: authenticate the exact
/openapischema route, reject authenticated database requests without usable tokens, and isolate single-cluster HTTP/SSE dynamic tools and schemas by effective request credentials; preserve sessions on unchanged reload polls, safely update logging levels during requests, and reject SSE messages from other credentials or retired generations (fixes #182) - security: require self-contained JWE ClickHouse connections with host and username; prevent inheritance of operator endpoints, credentials, headers, roles, and TLS material; restrict token TLS file paths to
server.jwe.tls_material_dir(fixes #179). Missing request tokens now fail closed in JWE-only and combined JWE/OAuth client paths, including discovery, instead of using static operator credentials. Regenerate tokens that relied on static connection defaults. - security: OpenAPI
execute_queryalways rejects write statements and enforcesmax_query_length; dynamic-tool JSON bodies use the same input-size limit (fixes #183) - security: isolate per-request ClickHouse headers, settings, and roles; prevent concurrent OAuth bearer forwarding from crashing the server, confusing caller identities, or leaking a stale bearer into later JWE or static-credential requests (fixes #181)
DEPENDENCY UPDATES
