Building & Deployment

Guide on compiling AmberPM and running a server.

Quick Build (Windows)

The easiest way to compile AmberPM on Windows is using compile.bat in the root directory.

Run from command prompt:

compile.bat

compile.bat automatically:

  1. Detects your local PHP installation (bin\php\php.exe or system php).
  2. Downloads composer.phar automatically if Composer is missing.
  3. Runs composer install --no-dev --classmap-authoritative --ignore-platform-reqs to optimize autoloading.
  4. Compiles PocketMine-MP.phar into the root folder.

Manual Build (Linux / macOS / CLI)

Requirements:

  • PHP 8.2+ with phar.readonly=0 in php.ini.
  • Composer installed.

Steps:

git clone https://github.com/Amber-PM/PocketmineMV.git
cd PocketmineMV

# Install dependencies and build classmap
composer install --no-dev --classmap-authoritative --ignore-platform-reqs

# Compile server phar
php -d phar.readonly=0 build/server-phar.php

Running the Server

Place the compiled PocketMine-MP.phar in your server directory along with your start script.

Windows:

start.cmd
# or
start.ps1

Linux / macOS:

./start.sh

Verification

After starting the server, check console output to verify AmberPM engine loading:

[Server thread/INFO]: Starting Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server version 1.26.40
[Server thread/INFO]: This server is running AmberPM
