[BUG] Cannot install any module because it says I use an adblock (which I don't) #66
Comments
I know, I just forgot to turn it off while recording that video. Here's another video without any VPN or custom DNS to prove that it's not the case:

I also don't have any custom DNS in Android settings or in my network, checked both with Wi-Fi and LTE. It's either something in the system itself - but it's just stock LineageOS, nothing changed - or in that part of the app that loads the webpage after pressing "Install" button.

…Rethink dns does in fact block ads. It's just like adguard which creates a local VPN in order to filter out ads and malware. I can't download with adguard enabled at all. Easy way to test is turn it off and try to download. If it works it actually is the issue.

I realized that you said that you tried with it off aswell. That's why I deleted my comment. |
Firefox is not tested nor officially supported, but we have other reports of it causing issues. However, we cannot reproduce the issue. It's possible browser caching is interfering by caching the blocked responses. |
As we do not consider this a bug and have since improved our logic, going to close this issue |
After pressing "install" on any module I get stuck on the download page. It opens in some unknown browser (apparently with an adblock enabled), and I can't proceed because it says "Adblocker detected". I have two browsers on my phone - Firefox and Cromite - and I turned off all the adblockers in them. This did not fix an issue.
Here's the screenshots from both of browsers

And here's the video of this issue

P.S. RethinkDNS (you can see it's icon in the top bar in the video) has nothing to do with it. I just use it to monitor apps network activity. But I also tried when turning it off, and the issue still persists.
