OOTR-AutoTracker v1.1.0
🟢 OoT Randomizer Auto-Tracker (RMG) - v1.1.0
Welcome to the v1.1.0 update of the Ocarina of Time Randomizer Auto-Tracker!
This release introduces a massive under-the-hood feature: Automatic Tracker Template Generation. You no longer have to manually set up or patch your tracker files. The app now does all the heavy lifting for you the second you open it!
✨ What's New in v1.1.0
- Automated JSON Injection: On startup, the app now hooks into RMG, reads your live dungeon entrances, and instantly cross-stitches them into a fully populated
track-oot-generated.jsonfile. - Flawless Dungeon Mapping: Fixed a known quirk with standard OoT trackers where certain dungeons (Dodongo's Cavern, Forest Temple, Shadow Temple, and Gerudo Training Grounds) failed to associate due to reversed internal naming conventions. All 11 dungeon gateways now map perfectly on launch!
- Seamless Boot Sequence: The memory reading and JSON generation happen instantly in the background before the web server boots up, guaranteeing your UI is perfectly synced the second your browser opens.
📥 How to Download & Install
- Scroll down to the Assets section at the bottom of this release.
- Click on
OOT-AutoTracker.exeto download the app. - Place the
.exeanywhere on your computer. (Ensure yourdatafolder with thetrack-oot-template.jsonis located in the same directory path if you are using the portable version!)
🎮 How to Use
- Open your RMG Emulator and load into your Ocarina of Time Randomizer save file. (Note: You must be fully loaded into the game world, not the title screen, so the RAM can stabilize).
- Double-click the
OOT-AutoTracker.exefile. - The background terminal will open, securely connect to the game memory, and automatically generate your custom tracker file.
- Your default web browser will automatically open to the tracker UI, with all your randomized dungeon entrances already mapped out!
⚠️ Troubleshooting / Known Issues
- "Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen): Because this is a new, indie
.exefile, Windows might flag it. Click More Info -> Run anyway. - Dungeons didn't map on startup? Make sure you didn't launch the tracker while on the N64 logo or title screen. Load your save file, step outside into the overworld, and restart the
.exe. - Console closes immediately: Make sure you don't have multiple copies of the tracker running in the background holding the local port hostage.
Built with Python, WebSockets, and Vanilla JS for the OoT Rando Community.
OOTR-AutoTracker v1.0.0
🟢 OoT Randomizer Auto-Tracker (RMG) - v1.0.0
Welcome to the first official release of the Ocarina of Time Randomizer Auto-Tracker!
This tool is a lightweight, zero-setup auto-tracker designed specifically for the Rosalie's Mupen GUI (RMG) emulator. It reads the game's active memory in the background and instantly updates a sleek, dark-themed web interface as you discover new dungeon entrances.
✨ Key Features
- Plug and Play: No complex Python setup required. Just download the
.exeand run it! - Real-Time Memory Tracking: Automatically detects your randomized dungeon entrances directly from RMG's memory.
- Smart Grid-Snapping: Dynamically aligns to your specific randomizer seed, regardless of how items are shuffled.
- Mutually Exclusive UI: The web tracker automatically grays out locations and items as you find them, keeping your pathing clean.
📥 How to Download & Install

OOT-AutoTracker.exeto download the app. - Place the
.exeanywhere on your computer (like your Desktop). No installation is required!
🎮 How to Use

- Double-click the
OOT-AutoTracker.exefile. - A small background terminal will open to scan the memory, and your default web browser will automatically open to the tracker UI!
- As you walk into new dungeons in-game, watch the web page update automatically!
⚠️ Troubleshooting / Known Issues
- "Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen): Because this is a new, indie
.exefile, Windows might flag it. Click More Info -> Run anyway. - Tracker isn't finding the game: Ensure your RMG emulator is actively running a modern OoT Randomizer ROM (v6.0+) and that you are loaded into your save file.
- Console closes immediately: Make sure you don't have multiple copies of the tracker running in the background holding the local port hostage.
