Wawel Auth supplies skins and capes: for every player, from their own provider, including HD skins and animated capes. It does not draw them. Which mod draws players decides how a skin looks:
| Client mods | Players are drawn by | What it looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Wawel Auth | Vanilla | Vanilla's 64x32 view of each skin: no slim arms and no outer layers on arms, body and legs |
| Wawel Auth + Salamander | Salamander | Modern 64x64 skins with slim arms, flat or 3D skin layers, see-through skin pixels, layers hidden under armor, 3D hat layers on player heads |
| Wawel Auth + SimpleSkinBackport | SimpleSkinBackport | Its extruded layers; Wawel Auth hands it each skin's slim arms. Part toggles are not applied |
| Wawel Auth + SimpleSkinBackport + Salamander | Salamander | As with Salamander alone; SimpleSkinBackport's own player drawing stays off |
| Wawel Auth + Ears | Ears | Ears' modern skins and features |
| Wawel Auth + Even Mo' Bends | Even Mo' Bends, layers by Salamander | Animated limbs with Salamander's skin layers |
Salamander, Even Mo' Bends and SimpleSkinBackport do not need Wawel Auth. Without it, skins come from vanilla's download.
The skin layer settings (3D layers, see-through pixels, skulls) are in Salamander's config. Wawel Auth's part toggles, what each player shows of their own skin, are kept and synced by Wawel Auth and applied by Salamander.
Clients without Wawel Auth, using authlib-injector, only see the skins of the Wawel Auth server's own accounts: other providers sign their skins with keys those clients do not trust.
