As discussed on a dev call it would be nice to improve our RC hand-over code (wiki is here) so that from a pilot's point of view:

  • Each pilot's RC has a single switch with "my aircraft" / "your aircraft" positions
  • If pilot1 selects "my aircraft" and pilot2 selects "my aircraft" the "primary" controls the vehicle
  • If pilot1 selects "my aircraft" and pilot2 selects "your aircraft" then "pilot1" controls the vehicle
  • If pilot1 selects "your aircraft" and pilot2 selects "my aircraft" then "pilot2" controls the vehicle
  • If pilot1 selects "your aircraft" and pilot2 selects "your aircraft" then an RC failsafe should trigger
